The wait is almost over, as official pre-orders for GTA 6 will officially begin on June 25. Rockstar made the big announcement through a brief 30-second video posted on their official X account, which also served as the grand reveal for the game's official cover art.

Decoding the Secrets of the New Cover Art
Rockstar never releases an image without a purpose, and this newly revealed artwork is packed with hints about the upcoming game.
While the main protagonists, Jason and Lucia, are prominently featured, the cover also highlights two other characters: Boobie Ike and Raul Batista. Following the pattern of previous Rockstar covers, their prominent placement suggests they could be major players in the game's narrative.
The artwork strongly mirrors the action-packed aesthetic of its predecessor, showcasing an exciting mix of helicopters, motorcycles, jet skis, and intense gun battles. This compilation of vehicles strongly hints at a chaotic, thrilling adventure across the state of Leonida. You will also notice a giant crocodile on the cover, which perfectly captures the Florida-inspired setting and might serve as a fun nod to the animal companions we've seen in past titles. Additionally, the new artwork features a mysterious cover girl with afro curls and a "Vice Baby" torso tattoo, serving as a stylish, modern homage to the iconic model from the original Vice City game.

Alongside the cover art, Rockstar updated its official webpage with a mesmerizing new visual of the Vice City skyline.
The short video clip displays the sprawling city during the golden hour, featuring neon-lit skyscrapers set against a vibrant violet-orange sky. Eagle-eyed fans can easily spot key map locations in the shot, including Leonida Keys and Port Gellhorn.
When compared to the initial trailer released late last year, this new look reveals significant graphical upgrades. The lighting on the buildings has much more personality, and the colors of the sunset appear far more realistic and striking than before.
Finally, the website update also shared the official plot synopsis. The story will follow Jason and Lucia, a young criminal couple, as an easy score pulls them into a massive conspiracy across the entire state of Leonida. They will have to rely on each other more than ever to survive the dangerous, dark underbelly of America's sunniest location.
